Hello Bloggy world!

Ok so I have done a better job with my facebook these days instead of my blog. I intend to try to do a better job, even it is just small quick posts.

Our sweet baby is 8 weeks old now! Reid William was born on Saturday, Feb. 21. I worked
that Thursday night, got off work Friday morning, went to doc appointment that afternoon. My blood pressure was on the rise, not dangerous, but my doc sent me to the hospital for a quick non-stress test. I was scheduled to have a c-section on Wed. Feb 25. Non-stress test was great...so doc decided to go ahead with c-section the next morning. He didn't want my bp to get any higher. It went super smooth. I had great nurses and docs taking care of me. Lots of family and friends there...my mother-in-law and sister (in-law) drove down late Friday night to be here with us. My sweet sis-in-law brought the kiddos...what a trooper to make that drive just to be there with us! Reid is perfect and Landon is the BEST big-brother ever!! So proud of him! They both are SUCH a JOY!!! God is good! I mean He is just AWESOME! I am SO thankful for the health of my children and my family...

Ok...i promise to be a better blogger especially with #2 getting closer to his arrival! I had a 4d ultrasound yesterday. Everything looks great. Baby weighs 4 lbs. 1 oz right now. I am 33 weeks. The interesting thing is that I was 36 1/2 weeks when I had Landon and he weighed 4 lbs. 2 oz. Of course I was beginning to loose amniotic fluid around this time with him, which is why my doctor wanted to start really closely monitoring my fluids and baby's weight now. I think he looks like Landon for sure! I am really ready for him to have a name, but Brady and I still can't exactly agree on it yet...

Is that not the sweetest face!! Only 6 weeks to go unless he decides to come before then! I will have a planned c-section the last week of February at 39 weeks unless little man wants out before then...

Ok, so I know I am the WORST blogger ever. Between work, catching up on sleep, keeping my house clean, having the most horrible stomach bug last week that landed me in the hospital for a night, and spending time with my little man, I am pooped! I promise to update with pictures later this week after Christmas!

I can't believe that I am 30 weeks pregnant today! Oh my goodness, I have SO much to do. I am not going to worry until this week is over and then I will proceed with setting up the nursery and moving Landon into his BIG BOY ROOM!

Still no name for baby. Brady and I are still working on that. Hopeful in the next few weeks this sweet baby will have a name!

We are excited that all of Brady's side of the family will be coming into town today! I am thrilled to see Lillie Kate and my NEWEST NEPHEW TALMAGE!!! I know he has grown so much over the last few weeks! We have a fun week ahead!

IT'S A .......................................





BOY!!!!!!!! We had our ultrasound yesterday. Everything looks great and healthy! Thank you Jesus!! We are all SO excited! Landon has said all along that it was going to be a boy. He probably heard Brady say the same thing! I am looking forward to Landon having a brother! I think it will be neat to see them enjoying the same things together...like sports or whatever. Now we have to decide on a name. We kind of decided just to wait till we knew the sex of the baby before we starting thinking about names. Thanks for all the thoughts and prayers! I can't wait to meet this sweet little man!!

Birthday festivities!!

I can't believe that my child is 3 years old!! What! He is the sweetest thing in the whole world! I am so proud of the little man he is becoming! We had a blast at the park last weekend and thank goodness it didn't rain! I was a little worried! We had a party with Lillie Kate since she also turned 3 last week. Landon was SO excited to play with her! She was able to come over and hang out that night after the party! Lillie Kate and Landon were sitting in a chair together and she was "reading" to him. He LOVED it! He yelled out, "Mommy....I love Lillie Kate!!" It was TOO sweet! She thinks everything he does and says is hilarious! I love to hear her giggle!

Prayer

I would really appreciate a few prayers lifted up for me. I am having a rough few weeks at work. Dealing with cancer patients can be difficult obviously, but lately with a few certain patients, I am really having a hard time dealing. I don't get super close to every patient that I take care of because, well first off I would be a basket-case all the time. I have those patients that I get really close to and can relate with for whatever reason. Over my 7 years of nursing, I would say that there are 5-6 patient that I can remember ALL details of diagnosis, their family members names, everything. I am just having a hard time right now and let me tell you that pregnancy hormones don't help hold the tears back if you know what I mean! So please pray for my sweet patients and their families and that I will be able to help them in every way possible. Thanks.

A quick update!

Well, I have been meaning to post an update on what is going on with us. Every afternoon when I rock Landon for a nap, usually I am having to take a nap too before working that night. Even on the days when I don't HAVE to take a nap, I am falling asleep with him anyway. SO tired these days. I am feeling a little better the past few weeks. Right when I thought the nausea thing was history, it has come back to bite me over the past several days! Oh well! I also have given in to the "fat pants" as I affectionately call them. I definitely have a belly on me these days. I have a doctor's appointment tomorrow, then (drum roll please!) in four more weeks, I will find out what the sex is at my next appointment! I feel like it will really make everything seem "real".

Landon is very excited about the baby and being my #1 big helper! He is going to be such a GREAT big brother...I can feel it. I hope it doesn't go the other way when the baby actually gets here. The other day he CRACKED ME UP when he came up to me and said , "hey mommy, i need to talk to the baby for a minute!" I can't even remember what he said after that because I was laughing so hard!

Landon is growing up SO fast these days. He talks INCESSANTLY. I mean the kid talks more than I do if you can believe that. I could just eat him up! He is enjoying school this year, but NOT enjoying the fact that he gets "dropped off". This year, they have a "drive-thru" where the teachers take them out of the car and put them in when they get picked up. He has CRIED almost everyday while his teacher is getting him out of the car! I am giving it a few more tries and if he doesn't get any better, I am going to take him late and walk him to his classroom. I think it is something about seeing me DRIVE AWAY. Bless his sweet heart! He LOVES school itself though...making friends, playing, and doing crafty things. He even gets to go to Chapel this year! Only a few more weeks until he is an official THREE YEAR OLD!! AHHHH! Birthday pics will probably be the next post. Fun times!!
